Each block is cleaned and the base filed flat before undercoating. It is then painted in at least 6 colours, often more, and then a wash is applied to bring out detail (such as it is). Finally it is varnished matt (which actually comes out semi-matt).

My preference is to supply painted blocks from stock (particularly for Ancient/Medieval) but I will also paint blocks to your requirements. I would normally supply the blocks but, if you want those you have bought painting, I can do those for you.

My stock items are unbased but I will base them for you if you supply the details of exactly how you want them based. Please don't ask for 'the standard basing for ### set of rules', I may not use the rules and, even if I do, there are variations that may be 'standard' where you play that differ from my experience. See the notes on the BASING page for how to describe what basing you want.

At the moment I am limiting myself to the Ancient, Renaissance and Horse & Musket ranges and the BG Terrain range but may expand into the other ranges at a later date.

• All prices are all per BLOCK (NOT per code) and are in UK pence or pounds. The full list can be found on the prices pages (BLOCKS and TERRAIN), figure blocks vary from 30p (for a command block) up to 70p (for 3-rank Renaissance horse) and terrain from 50p to £4.50. Prices are dependant on the cost of the block and the time it takes me to paint them.

• Prices all include the cost of the block or terrain model. If you wish me to paint blocks that you have already purchased send a list of them and we can negotiate a price.

• Prices do NOT include basing.

• Post and packing to UK destinations is £1.50 and £5 (airmail) to anywhere else. Terrain may cost more, it's heavy stuff.

• Payment MUST be in UK pounds and by a method that doesn't cost me any currency or conversion charges. We can discuss this when you place your order. Western Union seems to work well from the USA or Canada.

• Payment for orders of less than £25 must be made with the order.

• For orders of £25 and over a deposit (non-returnable) of £20 or 25% of order value (which ever is greatest) is required at the time of ordering and the rest when I advise you that the job has been started. 

Discounts for larger orders are : 
£50 - £100    7.5%         over £100   12.5%

Discounts do not apply to terrain orders but I can usually manage to knock something off for larger orders of terrain.
There will also be odd offers and painted army deals as well, once I get the basic service going properly.

Details of colour schemes etc. are always negotiated and agreed before an order is accepted so that there can be no risk of you getting something unexpected.

Generally a figure has the following parts for which you can specify a colour, not all figures have all these parts :
Tunic, Trousers/Legs, Headgear, Face, Weapon and Shield. Most also have a standard or flag of some sort. Cavalry have a horse too.

Some figures also have pennants, packs or horse furniture.
When specifying a colour scheme note that bright colours are best at this scale, the detail wash shades them down a bit but you need high contrasts to pick out what detail there is.

Note also that some of the earlier castings in the ABG range are not of great quality and I can only work with what I get from Irregular. I do reject the worst castings but even then I have to take some with minimal heads or some flash between the figures. I have tried to make a comment in the price lists where this happens often with particular blocks.
