This was my first love but somehow it only ever seems to accumulate countless unfinished projects.

Although I dabble in many periods my interest is as much in the history, particularly the technical aspects, as in wargaming or modeling. My main interests are Ancients, particularly the Hellenic period, and Transitional (1840-1880). I do have some interest in almost all periods up to WWI but not much after that.

As in most of my wargaming and modeling activities, I am fascinated by the smaller scales. I prefer 1/2400th or 1/3000th if I can get them and the tiny 1/6000th vessels from Hallmark are superb. If you want to see small in Ancients then look at the 1/3000th ships from Outpost, the scaling is crap but they are nice models for the size.

If I ever get any fleets painted (they are well down the queue at present) I will post more pictures.
